Today was the second julbord of the season - this time for our faculty Christmas outing to one of the best local fish restaurants, Furuviks Brygga.


Earlier this week I was instructed one should have three shots of snapps and seven courses to a proper Swedish julbord. I failed on both counts, but I think I still held my own sufficiently. And believe me, there is no more space left in this tummy right now. Even after the bike ride home.


Swedes have a really lovely tradition of mixing song with drinking and festive occasions, and thanks to a deck of 'snapsvisor' (drinking songs) and a new iPhone app, we managed to get a few out between mouthfuls! Definitely something I need to work on still :) Wonder why they aren't teaching us these important things at night school?!?
