Today's weather reminded me of a funny little ride last August in the French Alps with Krista and Richard.
 |
| A good start - sun and t-shirt weather setting out ... go go Krista! |
 |
| Jackets on part way up (note the incoming clouds) ... |
And then ...
 |
| mid-way pause + acknowledgement of meteorological change |
 |
| Preparing for a wet and chilly descent ... and laughing a bit at ourselves |
Guess sometimes you just have to laugh at how the weather can change. I tried to think that way today as big flakes turned to slushy snow/rain turned to rain and washed away our lovely snow cover. Still, I am longing a bit for the white stuff. Come on snow!!!
Of course, it makes it much easier to keep smiling in the company of good friends. I am just in from a delightful dinner with Becca and David, Camilla and Urban, where we could get out of the rain and into the cosy candle light of
Matilda's - a very yummy restaurant in town - and forget about everything outside the glow of our little table. Perfect.
And, with 15 minutes to spare before I am no longer on time with my day's posting, here is the excitement behind door #9!

I love the BodyShop advent calendar, wish we had one here! But the Laura Secord advent calendars that Kieran and I have are quite tasty...
