With the addition of body lotion, we are all set for some traveling at Jullov!
After posting about goodbyes on day fourteen, I must have been thinking about some friendly faces (or at least friends' faces!) and remembered some portrait type pics I had taken over the last year.
I am still learning how to capture people on 'film', but it is something I like to work at every now and then. And, sometimes, if I am lucky, the essence of the person or situation seems to make it into the shot. Now the trick: how to make this happen more often. Good thing there are so many days in a year and in a lifetime for learning!
Of course, the other problem is that I need to keep carrying my camera with me -- and not always just a point and shoot number. Our friend Rob has been getting back in touch with his camera the last year and is good at reminding me that taking the camera with me is half the battle. I'm getting there, Rob! ;)
playing with a wide angle lense in Narvik, Norway - love the hand distortion
Juliette hates being photographed and was most patient with me this day.
I love her expression and the play of her dress and the wallpaper.
The above pics were taken with our Nikon D90 digital SLR, but our little Canon PowerShot SD1200 has also captured a few goodies.
Thanks for sharing your mugs with me, friends.
